eMedicine merges with Medscape

In January 2011, eMedicine’s excellent clinical content was absorbed by Medscape. The familiar reviews and info are still available, however, Medscape now requires users to log in to access the content.

First-time users will be asked to register for FREE access to eMedicine’s Medscape Reference. If you already have a Medscape username and password, that should work. Creating a personal login is useful if you want to take advantage of the CME offered through eMedicine/Medscape.

We are also offering a generic login as follows for casual users :
                Username : affinity1               Password : library

You’ll see this generic login info near the eMedicine link on the Library web pages, so don’t feel like you need to commit it to memory.

The Medscape Reference offers eMedicine’s familiar reference articles combined with Medscape. The site is a fully integrated, clinical resource that provides :

• Medical Reference
• Drug Information
• Expert opinion and news
• Peer-reviewed reference articles
• Quick clinical answers
• Expert video commentary
• CME/CE customized to your learning needs
• Mobile Applications
